Terms of sale
Translation for information only — only the French version is legally binding. French version
What applies when you buy or sell here. Version of 7 October 2026.
1. Who is bound, and to whom
The service — putting you in touch, holding the payment, shipping, verification, arbitration — binds you to VeriFlip, operated by E-Com Digitalbiz SRL (private limited company), siège social Rempart du Vieux Cimetière 11, 7060 Soignies, Belgique, company number BE 0772.519.183, RPM Hainaut, division Mons, reachable at contact@veriflip.app and through the help centre. That contract is concluded with a business, and consumer protection applies to it in full.
You accept these terms, the legal notice and the privacy policy by clicking the sign-up button, under which this acceptance is restated; the accepted version is recorded on your account and its link is emailed to you. Each new version is presented to you: you accept it before listing an item or buying. Your account, your current orders and your messages remain accessible without doing so.
2. The price, and what is added to it
3. The order and the payment
An item is unique: it is reserved for 20 minutes as soon as a payment starts, then put back on sale if it fails. The payment is processed by our payment provider; we never have access to the card number. The order is binding once the payment is confirmed, and a summary is sent by email.
The seller has 5 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding Belgian public holidays) after payment to drop off the parcel. Without drop-off within that time, the order is cancelled and you are refunded in full, without you having to do anything.
4. The right of withdrawal
What we offer instead is not a slogan: the payment stays held until delivery, and you have 48 h after receipt to report a problem. A dispute suspends the payout until a person decides, with a reasoned decision notified to both parties.
As for our own intermediation service: it starts when we put you in touch, with your consent. It cannot be “returned” once the sale is concluded and the parcel shipped. The commission therefore follows the fate of the sale: if the sale is cancelled or refunded, the commission is refunded with it.
The details, including what happens if the order confirmation did not reach you, are in article S5 below.
5. Delivery, disputes
Shipping uses a label provided by the platform, with tracking. The delivery address is passed to the carrier and to the seller of the paid order, for the shipping label, and to them alone. A pick-up point can be chosen instead of a personal address.
6. What a seller undertakes to do
7. Services sold individually, outside any transaction
The price, the time frame, what is included and what is not are shown on each service’s page, before ordering. The articles below supplement them.
S1. Purpose and parties
These articles govern the services that VeriFlip sells individually, independently of any sale concluded on VeriFlip: the accompanying certificate, the pre-purchase check and the standalone escrow service. They concern items sold or bought elsewhere.
The customer is any natural person acting for purposes outside their professional activity (consumer), or any legal person, who orders one of these services. Unlike a sale between private individuals, this contract is concluded with a business: consumer protection applies to it in full.
S2. What each service includes, and what it doesn’t
Each service’s page lists, before ordering, what is included and what is not. These two lists form part of the contract, and they prevail over any impression a presentation text might give.
None of these services declares an item authentic or counterfeit. We review checkable points on photographs and write down what we found. The document issued carries the statement that appears on everything we check, and VeriFlip acts neither on behalf of the fashion houses concerned nor with their agreement.
No item is handed to us: we do not receive, hold or ship anything. The review covers the images and information the customer provides, and those alone.
S3. Price, order and payment
The price depends on the service, the plan applicable to the item’s brand and category, and whether or not the review is express. It is shown in euros, all taxes included, on the service page and repeated before payment. No amount is added afterwards.
The applicable plan is determined by us from the declared brand and category: the customer cannot choose it. An inaccurate declaration of the brand or category allows us to refuse the file and refund it in full.
Payment is processed by our payment provider. We never have access to the number of your payment method. The order is binding once payment is confirmed; a confirmation is then sent to you by email, on a durable medium, setting out your order, these articles, your express consent to immediate performance and your acknowledgement that you lose your right of withdrawal.
S4. Turnaround time, and what you are owed if it is not met
The turnaround time is stated on the service page, runs from payment, and is repeated in the order confirmation.
If this time limit is not met, the service is refunded in full, without you having to do anything and regardless of the result of the review. A deadline that costs nothing to whoever announces it when missed is not a commitment.
An incomplete file does not start this period running: we then tell you which photographs are missing, and the period runs from when we receive them. If you cannot provide them, the service is refunded in full.
S5. Right of withdrawal and immediate performance
As a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, without giving a reason and at no cost.
These services are, however, performed immediately, at your request. Under Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law — which transposes Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU — you lose this right when three conditions are met and the service has been fully performed: a) you gave your prior express consent for performance to begin during the withdrawal period; b) you acknowledged that you would thereby lose this right; c) we sent you confirmation of the contract on a durable medium, in accordance with Article VI.46, § 7, of the same code.
Consent and acknowledgement are collected through two separate, unticked boxes before payment; without them, the order cannot be placed, and we keep the timestamp of each together with their exact wording. The confirmation is sent to you after payment, with the full text of these articles.
As long as the result of the review has not been delivered to you, your right of withdrawal remains, and we then refund you in full, without keeping an amount proportionate to the work already done — which the law would nonetheless allow us to do.
The same applies if confirmation on a durable medium was not sent to you: since the third condition is not met, the right is not lost, and the refund remains in full.
S6. Conformity, and what falls outside it
We must provide the service described: the review of the category’s checkable points, the corresponding written report, and the document where provided for. If the report is illegible, incomplete or does not match the service ordered, write to us with your file reference: we will carry it out again or, failing that, refund you. contact@veriflip.app
Conformity is assessed against the description of the service, not against the result of the review or what happens with your sale or purchase. A review whose points do not match is an answer, not a defect: it is even the one that costs you least.
When the information provided does not allow a conclusion either way, the service is refunded in full. What is sold is an answer; when we don’t have one, we should have refused the file before taking payment.
S7. Your obligations
You undertake to provide only photographs you have taken or that the listing concerned makes public, to declare the brand, category and model accurately, and not to present a report or certificate as relating to an item other than the one reviewed.
A document linked to an item cannot be transferred to another item. Presenting a certificate for an object other than the one reviewed leads to its revocation, and the public address then says so.
S8. Responsabilité
We take reasonable steps to ensure the review is thorough and the report accurate. We do not guarantee that a review based on photographs will detect every anomaly: that is precisely why we never write that an item is authentic.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for a file is limited to the amount paid for that file. This limit does not apply to intentional or gross misconduct, nor where the law prohibits limiting liability.
We are not responsible for the decision to sell, buy or walk away that you make after reading our report, nor for any action taken by the platform on which you sell or buy.
S9. Data, complaints and applicable law
The photographs and information provided are processed as described in the privacy policy, and are only used for the review ordered.

7 bis. Lots sold at auction
The full procedure — minimum amount, increments, extension, outcomes — is on the auctions page. The articles below supplement it and articles 1 to 6.
E1. What an auction on VeriFlip is
An online auction is a sale for a fixed period, held exclusively on this site. There is no venue, no session and no physical attendance possible: nobody can take part other than online.
VeriFlip is not the seller. The sales contract is formed between the bidder whose bid wins and the seller of the lot. VeriFlip operates the platform, collects the payment, holds it until delivery and then passes it on — exactly as for a fixed-price sale.
The seller is free to withdraw their lot as long as no bid has been placed. After the first bid, they can no longer do so: a bid commits the person who places it, and the commitment cannot be one-sided.
E2. Starting price, minimum amount and increments
The seller sets a starting price. The first acceptable bid equals this starting price; subsequent bids must exceed it by at least one increment, which rises with the amount reached. The minimum acceptable amount is always shown on the lot, and it is recalculated by the server with each bid: what comes from the browser commits to nothing.
The seller can set a minimum sale amount, known as the reserve price. It is not displayed, it is optional, and it is never invoiced, including when the lot finds no buyer.
A bid below the minimum acceptable amount is refused when it is placed, with the expected amount. No bid is withdrawn or changed after being accepted.
E3. Closing, extension and outcome
The lot closes at the stated time. Any bid placed in the last 5 minutes pushes the closing back by 5 minutes from that bid: the lot only closes when nobody responds any more. This rule applies to everyone, without exception and with no maximum number of extensions.
At closing, there are only three outcomes: the lot goes to the highest bid, at its exact amount; or the highest bid does not reach the reserve price, and the lot is not sold; or no bid was placed. In the last two cases, nobody is charged and the seller is not invoiced anything.
The price due is that of the highest bid. Neither the starting price nor the reserve price is a sale price: the latter is a threshold.
E4. What a bid commits you to
Placing a bid is a commitment to buy at the amount offered, plus the stated postage. You cannot withdraw it, and having changed your mind is not a reason to refuse payment.
When the lot goes to you, payment is due within 48 hours of closing. If this period passes without payment, the sale is cancelled, the lot goes back to the seller, who can put it back on sale, and your account may lose the ability to bid. A lot blocked by a bid that nobody honours costs the seller the whole sale.
Pushing up the price of a lot you are selling yourself, directly or through a third party, is prohibited on the site and constitutes an unfair commercial practice in all circumstances within the meaning of Annex I to Directive 2005/29/EC. The account concerned is suspended and the corresponding bids are cancelled.
E5. Your right of withdrawal
When the seller of the lot is a professional, you have 14 days from receipt of the goods to withdraw, without giving a reason and with no costs other than return postage. The auction format changes nothing.
The reason is worth knowing: the exception provided for by law covers sales where the buyer can travel and attend in person. An auction held exclusively online is not one of them — Directive 2011/83/EU says so in Article 2(13) and recital 24. This right is therefore yours under the same conditions as for a fixed-price purchase.
When the seller is a private individual, this right does not exist, here as in any sale between private individuals. The lot page says so before you can bid. Conformity still applies, however: the goods must match their description, and payment is only passed to the seller after delivery.
E6. What you pay
The rates applied to a lot sold are those of any transaction on this site: they do not change because the format changes. They are shown before listing and detailed on the page explaining how the site works.
Listing a lot costs nothing. Setting a reserve price costs nothing. A lot that finds no buyer costs nothing. No amount is taken on a sale that did not happen.
Postage is stated before any bid and is added to the bid amount. No other fee is added afterwards.
E7. Complaints and applicable law
These articles are governed by Belgian law, without prejudice to the mandatory provisions protecting consumers in their country of habitual residence. They supplement the site’s terms of sale, which remain applicable to everything they do not cover.
7 ter. Boosting a listing
A seller can boost a live listing for 3 or 7 days. It then carries the label “Sponsored” and takes up at most one slot in every 4 slots in results sorted by relevance; a sort chosen by the buyer is applied as is. The boost does not change the ranking criteria.
Price, all taxes included: 3 days, €1.49; 7 days, €2.99. The boost starts as soon as you pay, at your express request; once fully performed, the right of withdrawal is lost. If you withdraw before it ends, you pay for the part already provided and the rest is refunded. A paid boost is not refunded if the listing is sold or removed while it is running. If the boost cannot start, it is kept on your account for 60 days.
The welcome pack is offered to the first 100 accounts that activate it: 3 three-day boosts, to be used within the following 60 days. It is free, personal, has no monetary value, and is non-transferable and non-refundable. A boost gives a live listing more visibility: it does not guarantee a sale and does not change the ranking criteria. VeriFlip can stop it on a listing that breaks its rules.
When someone creates an account through your invitation link and has confirmed their account (email address confirmed, or sign-in with Google or Apple), 10 three-day boosts are credited to your account, to be used within 60 days. Only once per invited email address; at most 5 invitations rewarded per 24 hours (the rest are credited the next day, when you open your account) and 30 in total; nothing is credited if the two accounts share a device, if either of them is a sample account, or for an invited account created before 10 October 2026. Like the welcome pack, these boosts are free, personal, have no monetary value, are non-transferable and non-refundable, and do not guarantee any sale. VeriFlip may withdraw them in the event of abuse, and may end this offer for the future by publishing a new version of the terms: boosts already credited remain yours until their expiry date.
8. Reporting content, challenging a decision
9. Liability
We are responsible for the service we provide: holding the payment, routing the payout, shipping, reviewing disputes. We are not responsible for performing the sale itself, which is the seller’s duty, nor for the conformity of an item we have not checked. Our liability for an order is limited to the amounts collected for that order. This limit does not apply to intentional or gross misconduct, nor where the law prohibits limiting liability.
10. Complaints, mediation, applicable law
If no agreement is reached, you can refer the matter free of charge to the Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur: North Gate II, Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8 boîte 1, 1000 Bruxelles — www.mediationconsommateur.be — contact@mediationconsommateur.be — +32 2 702 52 20. Mediation is optional and does not deprive you of the right to go to court.
These terms are governed by Belgian law, without prejudice to the mandatory provisions protecting consumers in their country of habitual residence. A consumer can always bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.
