Shipping
How do I ship?
From the sale, in My orders:
- Once the parcel is ready, tap “Create my label” on the order. Postage has been paid by the buyer: you pay nothing upfront, and the label is only created once.
- Download the label, print it and stick it flat on the closed parcel.
- Drop off the parcel at a drop-off point of the carrier named on the label. Never use another label: we would not receive the tracking.
- Tap “I’ve dropped off the parcel”: the buyer is notified and sees the tracking.
And without a printer?
When the carrier provides a QR code for drop-off, it appears on the sale, before the label: show it at the drop-off point, which prints the label for you.
By when?
You have 5 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding Belgian public holidays) after payment to drop off the parcel. Without drop-off within that time, the order is cancelled and the buyer refunded in full; costs already incurred — payment processing, which our provider does not return, and the label if it was created — are then deducted from your next payout. The deadline is shown on the sale. As long as the parcel has not been dropped off, you can cancel the sale from your orders page, stating the reason: the buyer is refunded in full straight away, on the same terms for costs. The cancellation then appears on your public profile for 12 months, with the number of orders received over the same period.
How should I pack?
In a sturdy, closed parcel, with no brand visible on the outside. Film yourself packing it: if there is a dispute, it is your best evidence. Pack in a box of at least 20 × 10 cm and 1.5 cm thick, with a diagonal of at most 85 cm: outside these dimensions, the carrier sorts it by hand and charges €15 extra. A piece of jewellery or a watch travels in a box, not an envelope. Our shipments stop at 5 kg and 150 cm (length + width + height): a heavier or larger item, once packed, cannot be shipped by VeriFlip.
The parcel is lost or damaged
The buyer reports it from their order: the payout is suspended, and a person decides based on the evidence from both sides. A parcel lost by the carrier after drop-off is not your fault: no costs are charged to you. But the buyer is then refunded, and the carrier only compensates by weight (Mondial Relay: €3.40 per kilo in Belgium, €10.25 abroad): above that, the value of a piece is not covered. Some items are excluded from shipping: jewellery with Mondial Relay, DPD and bpost, watches with DPD and bpost, furs with DPD. VeriFlip never hands them to these carriers: a watch ships with Mondial Relay (so not to Germany), a fur does not ship with DPD, and jewellery cannot be listed for sale while no carrier accepts it. The exact amount for your item is shown at the price step. VeriFlip does not insure parcels: for a valuable item, you can insure your shipment in your own name with an authorised insurer of your choice.
Insure my shipment
VeriFlip is not an insurance intermediary: it does not sell, offer or recommend any insurance, and receives no payment from any insurer. The parcel travels at your risk until delivery; you can insure it yourself, at your own expense and in your own name, with the insurer of your choice. For information: Secursus, a service of Figural, insurance intermediary registered with ORIAS (France), insures a parcel sent with a platform’s label, based on its value and tracking number: according to its website, 1% of the actual value, from €1.50 incl. VAT, up to €500 for a parcel delivered to a pick-up point (website of Secursus). The contract is concluded between you and the insurer, on its website and on its terms; a claim is made with the insurer, within its time limits, which are not the carrier’s. No insurance covers an item that the carrier excludes. On request, VeriFlip provides the shipment documents: tracking, proof of drop-off, correspondence with the carrier.
The buyer doesn’t collect the parcel
The pick-up point sends it back after the time set by the carrier, and the payout is not made. Report the return from the order: a person decides what happens next.
